Last updated: 01/12/2025
This Privacy Policy explains how Sunfish Siesta (“the Game”) developed by Project Linkativity (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our mobile game.
If you have any questions, you can contact us at:
Email: rhys@projectlinkativity.com
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to Sunfish Siesta and any related services we provide.
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children.
By installing or using the Game, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information we collect directly
We do not require you to create an account or provide your name, address, or other contact details to play the Game.
We may receive information you choose to provide if you contact us directly (for example, by email), such as:
Email address
Any other information you include in your message
We use this information only to respond to your inquiry or provide support.
2.2 Information collected automatically
When you use the Game, certain information may be collected automatically by the game itself and by third-party services integrated into the Game (such as advertising providers). This information can include:
Device information (device model, operating system version, language, country or region)
Technical identifiers (IP address, advertising ID such as Google Advertising ID or Apple IDFA)
Usage data (game events, session duration, screens or levels accessed, in-game actions, crash and performance data)
Ad-related information (which ads were shown, whether an ad was viewed or clicked, and related metrics)
We do not use this information to directly identify you as a person, but third-party providers may treat some of this data as personal data under applicable laws.
3. Third-Party Services
3.1 Unity Ads
Sunfish Siesta uses Unity Ads to display advertisements in the Game.
Unity Ads may collect and process data such as:
Device identifiers and advertising ID
IP address and approximate location
Device information and usage data
Ad interactions (views, clicks, installs)
This information is used to deliver, personalize, and measure ads, to limit how often you see the same ad, to detect fraud, and to improve their services.
For more details about how Unity handles data, please refer to Unity’s official privacy policy, available on their website (for example, under “Game Player and App User Privacy Policy”).
3.2 Other third-party services
In the future, we may integrate additional third-party services (for example, analytics or additional ad networks) to support the Game. If we do so, we will update this Privacy Policy to list those services and provide links to their privacy practices where appropriate.
4. How We Use Information
We and our third-party providers may use the information described above for the following purposes:
To operate and provide the Game and its features
To display, personalize, and measure in-game advertising
To understand how the Game is used and improve gameplay, performance, and stability
To maintain and enhance security, prevent fraud, and address technical issues
To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights
5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK and similar regions)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or a region with similar laws, our legal bases for processing your information may include:
Consent – for example, where required for personalized advertising or the use of certain cookies and identifiers. In such regions, you may be shown a consent dialog by us or by our partners.
Legitimate interests – for example, to maintain and improve the Game, prevent fraud, and keep our services secure, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Legal obligations – where processing is necessary to comply with applicable laws.
Third-party providers such as Unity Ads act as separate controllers in many cases and may rely on their own legal bases, as described in their privacy policies.
6. Children’s Privacy
The Game is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13 (or the age defined by local law, such as 16 in some regions).
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at rhys@projectlinkativity.com. We will take steps to investigate and delete such information where required by law.
Where required by law or platform rules, we and our partners may limit data collection and use for users identified as children (for example, by showing non-personalized ads).
7. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Information you provide directly (such as support emails) is kept as long as needed to handle your request and maintain records, then deleted or anonymized.
Third-party providers (such as Unity Ads) may have their own retention policies. Please refer to their privacy documentation for details.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information processed in connection with the Game against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system can be completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location and local laws, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including:
The right to access, correct, or delete certain information
The right to object to or restrict certain types of processing
The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on your consent
The right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
While we do not directly identify you inside the Game, many of these rights may be exercised through:
Device settings:
Resetting your advertising ID
Limiting ad tracking or opting out of interest-based advertising
In-game or third-party consent dialogs, where available, to change your choices about personalized ads
Contacting us at rhys@projectlinkativity.com with enough detail for us to understand and, where possible, act on your request
For data controlled by third parties such as Unity Ads, you may need to contact them directly or follow the instructions in their privacy policies to exercise your rights.
10. International Data Transfers
Our Game and third-party services may process information on servers located in various countries. As a result, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your own, where data protection laws may differ.
When required by applicable law, we and our partners take steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the Game, our practices, or legal requirements.
When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. You are encouraged to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Continued use of the Game after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.
